Doggy daycare is the epitome of a pup’s paradise, where furry companions unite for a tail-wagging adventure! It’s a haven where playing fetch reaches Olympic heights, snack time is revered with utmost dedication, and learning is seamlessly intertwined with euphoric playtime!

To ensure a paw-sitively delightful experience for all our furry friends, we have a few wag-worthy requirements for enrolment:
Size and Age: Dogs must belong to a small breed category and be over 10 weeks old
Registration: All furry attendees should be registered with their local council by the age of 3 months and have a valid microchip for identification.
Desexing: To maintain a harmonious atmosphere, we kindly ask that dogs be desexed by 6 months of age, with certification provided.
Vaccinations: Health is our top priority! Dogs must be up-to-date on their C3 and canine cough vaccinations, with a valid certificate provided.
Preventive Care: A commitment to regular tick and flea prevention, along with a diligent worming schedule is essential for the overall well-being of our cherished canine community.
Play Style: At Pamper and Play, our priority is creating a safe, calm, and positive environment for the small, social dogs in our care. To ensure the best possible experience for every pup, we carefully match playmates based on temperament, energy levels, and play style. Some dogs, despite their small size, have a naturally more intense or physical way of playing that doesn’t align with the gentle, social dynamic we foster in our centre. For this reason, not all small dogs will be suited to our daycare environment. We appreciate your understanding and are always happy to chat with you about whether our services are the right fit for your furry friend.
A dog’s first day at daycare is an exciting adventure filled with new experiences, furry friends and playful interactions. Here are some key points to know about their first day at Pamper & Play:
Introduction & Evaluation: Upon arrival, you and your doggo will be introduced to the Aunties and will discuss all things regarding their first day. We also suggest to bring some of your dog’s favourite treats and a well-loved toy or personal item such as a blanket.
Slow Integration: To ease your dog into the new environment, they will first become familiar with their crate and some of their new furends before being introduced into the playroom.
Providing Comfort: At Pamper & Play we have comfortable and secure spaces where dogs can take breaks if they begin to feel overwhelmed. These areas allow the dogs to relax and recharge before rejoining the playgroup.
Supervised Playtime: The Aunties closely supervise playtime to ensure a positive and safe experience for all dogs. They will monitor interactions, manage playgroups based on size and temperament and step in to prevent any potential issues.
Feedback and Communication: Upon pickup, the Aunties will provide feedback about your dog’s behaviour, interactions and overall experience, which will assist in any required adjustments for future visits.
At Pamper & Play, our daycare follows a daily structure curated specifically for small dogs and involves a balanced blend of playtime, rest and mental stimulation. This routine ensures a positive and enriching daycare experience and allows us to tailor to individual preferences and needs.
7 – 9am: Morning drop-off, greetings and relaxation
9 – 12pm: Interactive play and enrichment
12 – 2pm: Lunch time followed by a quiet rest period
2 – 4pm: Outdoor exploration and enrichment
4 – 6pm: Afternoon pick-up and daily report
When starting daycare, you may notice some physical and mental changes in your furry friend as they adjust to this new fun and active lifestyle.
Sore Pads: Running amok may be rough on your dog’s feet, and they may get sore and abraded pads. This will go away as their pads become thicker and get used to running on different surfaces.
Sore Muscles: Your dog will be having so much fun playing at Pamper & Play that they may forget to pace themselves and get sore muscles. Over time, this will fade as you see them get stronger and better adjusted to this active lifestyle.
Exhaustion: The new social interactions your dog will encounter at Pamper & Play will be both physically and mentally exhausting. Ensure you provide your dog with lots of time to rest and recover when they get home.
Enthusiasm: Your dog’s enthusiasm to enter the group will grow as they get more comfortable being at Pamper & Play. Eventually, they will be just as excited to arrive as they are when you pick them up at the end of the day.
Happy Dog: Their tail will be wagging and you may even see a smile on their face. It’s their way of saying ‘THANKS’ for bringing them to Pamper & Play – Dog Daycare and Spa.
